SharePoint Saturday Boston 2011 – Why Search Matters?

This past Saturday, April 9/2011, was my first time attending and presenting at a SharePoint Saturday event (and it was a fantastic event, btw!).

A lot of people had given me feedback that sometimes there is too much discussion on specific search features (be it for SharePoint Server 2010 or FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint), so I decided to focus my session on “Why Search Matters?”, discussing the needs (inside and outside the enterprise) that are driving us all to rely more and more on the the power of good search applications to be able to navigate (or at least avoid drowning in) this ocean of information we are currently living on.

Below you can find the deck I presented at the event. Enjoy! Smile
